On July 18th, LINE Yahoo began offering “Trends” as the second part of the renewal of its “Yahoo! JAPAN” app.
“Yahoo! JAPAN” app now includes “Trends”
The trend section displays the top 50 search results and a graph that lets you visually see when and how popular the top three words have been. The rankings are updated every 10 minutes, and you can also check news and social media posts on the rankings.

“Rising LIVE” displays large text and visuals, making it easy to understand the background of why the word is trending and related news. By tapping on a word displayed in the search trending rankings or Rising LIVE, you can check the search results for that word.

Tapping on the opening sentence of a related news story will take you to the news article, where you can check the summary of the word and “why it is being talked about.” If a trending icon is displayed, you can tap it to find out “how it is being talked about” in posts on social media.
