On September 9th (local time), Apple announced the latest models, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The phones are equipped with a larger display, a camera function that supports 4K 120fps video recording, a dedicated camera button, and the A18 Pro chip. Pre-orders will begin in Japan on the 13th, and the phones will go on sale on the 20th. Prices start from 159,800 yen (tax included, same below).

The iPhone 16 Pro has a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display. These are the thinnest bezels in the history of Apple products, and the largest display sizes in the history of iPhones.
The body is made of titanium, which is strong and lightweight, as in the iPhone 15 Pro series, and the display uses “Ceramic Shield,” which is advertised as twice as strong as the glass used in regular smartphones.
Color variations include black titanium, natural titanium, white titanium, and the new desert titanium.

The storage capacities for the iPhone 16 Pro are 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max are 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.
