Meta announced on August 27 (local time) that it has made it possible to overlay text or other photos on photos posted on its social networking site Instagram, as well as add text animations and effects to reels and stories.
You can overlay text in a variety of fonts (left) and photos (right) (Image: Meta)
To add text, select a photo from the gallery and then tap the text button. To add a photo, tap the gallery button on the top right of the screen. You can change the shape of the photo to be overlaid to a square, circle, hard or star.
You can now add more fonts when adding text to your photos, Reels, and Stories. You can also tap the text button to choose a new font. In Reels and Stories, you can also animate your text and add effects.
You can choose not only fonts but also effects for the text you add to your reels (Image: Excerpt from Meta video)
