Samsung Electronics has updated its Galaxy data transfer app “Smart Switch.” From July 10th, all chat history from the communication app “LINE” that is more than 15 days old will be transferable.
Galaxy data transfer app “Smart Switch” updated
Until now, LINE transfer on Galaxy products was done through the LINE app, so when switching from a smartphone of another company (iOS) to a Galaxy, LINE chat history data transfer was limited to the last 14 days. From now on, data transfer will be possible without any limit on the number of days.
Currently, the only brand that can transfer all LINE chat history when changing the OS (iOS → Galaxy, non-Galaxy Android → Galaxy) is Galaxy products (data transfer via Smart Switch). Compatible versions are 3.7.56.12 or higher for Smart Switch, 14.10 or higher for LINE, Android 10/iOS 16 or higher for old devices, and Android 11 or higher for new devices (Galaxy devices).
Data can be transferred when switching from a smartphone of another company to Galaxy, or when changing between Galaxy models.
