RCS is a messaging service standard that has been standardized globally by the GSMA. It is an enriched version of SMS, and can send and receive messages that include long text, images, videos, etc. Group chat with multiple people will also be available.

On Android, Google’s messaging service “Google Messages” supports RCS, but the iOS messaging app uses a dedicated iMessage and can only send and receive SMS with Android devices.
